Project Overview:

The Eastern Province Municipality is working to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by developing municipal services and digital transformation, relying on the integrated geographic information system (Enterprise GIS) that has been integrated with the business sequence system, allowing citizens to submit and follow up on municipal service requests electronically at any time and from anywhere. This system provides accurate details about each stage of the transaction, including the expected time for completion and comments, if any, ensuring speed of performance and raising the level of accuracy and credibility.

To ensure the continuity and development of the system, the Secretariat launched the “Operation and Maintenance of Geographic Information Systems for Associated Municipalities” project for the years 1441 AH – 1444 AH, with the aim of updating the current system to keep pace with technical developments and become a smart system (Smart GIS) linked to real-time applications (Real Time Applications). This development aims to accelerate the completion of transactions and facilitate daily service procedures, which enhances the efficiency and accuracy of service provision, and ensures effective communication between the Secretariat and citizens, which positively reflects on the national economy and the transition towards a highly efficient information society.
